In these days there are many accessaries attached on the automotive glass such as various sensors, electrical connectors, and even camera assembly. As development engineer specialized on child parts I study those parts and provide the best solution for automotive glasses.

Hanglas group, the Korean branch of Saint-Gobain group, is the one of the best (biggest) glass manufacturing companies in Korea. Among the affiliates in the Hanglas group Hankuk Sekurit Ltd. (HSL) is specialized for manufacturing the automotive safety glass such as a laminated or tempered glass. HSL designs and manufactures the world-finest safety glass.In order to supply the safety glass to major automotive manufacturing companies (HKMC, RSM, GM and SSMC), it needs various child parts such as spacers, a mirror base, sensor brackets, and holders. They are all assembled by many external suppliers. My primary responsibility in this position is to manage the external suppliers, audit the production process, and assure the quality of final products.The list of projects I am done/working on- Install LOT tracking system (on going)- Import glass co-inspection- Manage Industrial Vehicle glass center- Research measurement equipment - Technical support for inspecting HUD windshield quality- Manage tier 2 supplires

My main project is to make geopolymer by using natural wastes. Rice husk and stems have mainly been used for my project since October 2012.A majority of my responsibilities were to design, prepare, and execute experiments. Activities include powder milling, consolidation by pressing, sintering or flame forming, heat treating, as well as characterization of mechanical (ASTM standard applied) and chemical properties. During those experiments, I monitored and maintained several equipment such as a hydraulic press, high-temp furnace, and high-resolution optical microscope. Later, I collected, analyzed, and compiled a report to present to the other graduate students and the professor weekly.
