With over 14 years of experience in social work, I have dedicated my career to supporting vulnerable individuals and families in challenging situations. As a Fostering Social Worker at Five Rivers Fostering, I helped recruit,train, and supervise foster carers, ensuring the best outcomes for the children and young people in their care. I also provided guidance, and advocacy for the foster families, working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies. Previously, as a Probation Officer at The Probation Service, I managed a caseload of offenders, conducting risk assessments, preparing reports, and delivering interventions to reduce reoffending and promote rehabilitation. I have a Masters in Social Work from University College Cork, and I am a Registered Social Worker with CORU. I have also completed a Mediation Certification from the Mediation Institute of Ireland, and a Train the Trainer course from DCM Learning. I have developed strong skills in mental health, case management, crisis intervention, and group work, as well as a passion for social justice, human rights, and community development.
