Jim Britton is a business strategist and problem solver. Most of his experience is from 18+ years of higher education experience where he worked with top professors and engaged with Executive MBA students from around the world. His corporate experience includes TIAA, a Fortune 100 financial services organization, where he worked as a learning consultant for the highest tier of Wealth Management Advisors to develop a new-hire training program to effectively manage high net worth retirement clients. His major accomplishments were implementing Allego for online coaching support, leveraging Microsoft Stream for automatic transcription and conversion to leverage in other online video tools such as Brightcove and Vimeo, optimized the training compliance review process with process improvements and digital forms and implemented a website redirect solution to avoid expired links in training materials to expedite any updates required.In addition to his corporate training work experience at TIAA, he led the hybrid curriculum enhancements for UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Evening and Weekend Executive MBA programs, implemented and managed the experiential coursework financial UNC Capital Markets Lab to provide students with hands-on learning with leading financial applications from Bloomberg, FactSet and Morningstar. He also led the development of UNC’s first executive online certificate – Capital Markets @ UNC Kenan-Flagler. He also was the staff lead for numerous Global Entrepreneurship Lab (GEL) courses and study trip immersions to leverage experiential learning techniques to simulate and gain experience in the startup process for early-stage companies in Denmark. Jim was the lead for UNC’s Global OneMBA program’s technology committee when the global MBA program started back in 2002, worked with UNC’s MBA@UNC partner 2U to effectively convert academic courses to the online environment (mainly focusing on professor development and coaching) and was selected by the President of the University of New Hampshire Jim Dean to serve on his Technology Committee when he was Dean of the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.Jim also has program management experience serving as the Associate Director for the Evening, Weekend and OneMBA executive MBA programs and Interim Evening and OneMBA Director during transitional periods (for a combined 1.5 years)Jim’s other Higher Education experience includes consulting with ExecOnline to assist in the development of business-focused courses from IMD, Berkley, Duke, Yale, MIT, Stanford and Thinkers50, MIT.
