In his internship I gave Michael a challenging opportunity to identify a critical process for improvement. He was surprisingly independent in understanding the desired deliverable, interviewing professionals across an organization, developing an appropriate view of the as-is process, grasping new assets to leverage in the process, and then developing recommendations for the to-be process. Those recommendations were prioritized relative to quick hits, medium-term, and longer-term actions. His presentation of his findings and recommendations to senior management was delivered well and confidently. Michael has great professional potential in general, but his internship experience demonstrated a tremendous innate talent for consulting.
