Program Support Specialist
CurrentProvides advice, assistance and guidance to management officials regarding DMHRSi system capabilities, available data, recurring and nonrecurring reports, policies and procedures, and general operational matters of HR, Manpower, and Site Application Administrator (SSA) Manager modules. Provides technical advice, training and support to on-site staff to ensure timely implementation of new modules, features and/or enhancements to the existing system. Prepares standard operating procedures relative to system operations to ensure utilization and standardization occurs throughout the One Staff. Assists individual department/divisions to tailor operating procedures to meet local needs as necessary. Coordinates with other functional SMEs to ensure HR SOPs are properly integrated with other functional SOPs. Investigates, conducts research and problem solves end-users data issues in relation to DMHRSi and source system feeds to ensure reliability of the systems. Routinely monitors system entries to assess operational status. Analyzes reoccurring reports to review outputs to ensure standardization of HR business processes throughout the HQ, MEDCOM; coordinates with respective facilities to provide additional training and/or instruction when concerns are identified. Maintains a problem log which includes information on the date, the nature and origin of end-user request and the date and nature of resolution. Analyzes problem log to identify systemic problems that need more aggressive solutions. Facilitates, tracks and monitor requests for future system requirements and enhancements for modules within the system. Maintains current on the development status and functional capabilities of DMHRSi to eliminate or minimize duplication of functions. Coordinates with respective functional subject matter experts to analyze and interpret the request and impact on current processes and procedures.
