Born and raised in southern California, I received my undergraduate training in biochemistry at UCLA. I continued my doctoral studies in the department of human genetics at UCLA under the co-mentorship of Professors Kym Faull and Steve Horvath. During this time I worked on projects revolving around bioanalysis using mass spectrometry, bioinformatic analysis of transcriptomic & methylomic data, and epigenetic aging. I co-founded a startup based on the multiomic technology I developed during my doctoral studies which enables concurrent analysis of proteins, lipids, metabolites, and other small molecules in a single LC-MS run. We are pursuing our longstanding interest in using high-dimensional biological data to accelerate the world's transition to personalized and preventative healthcare.
