I'm a qualified marketing professional who chose to stand shoulder to shoulder with my husband in the Man’s industry - Construction. I handle the entire back office - HR, Finance and purchase.Detroit started its journey with Tier 2 and 3 cities, and it was difficult to find those quality brands which were used in civil, electrical and plumbing. In order to build a support system in the highly unorganized market, I travelled these cities to understand the labor market, raw-material markets and sub-contractors. From mapping out laborer's and subcontractors across cities, I made procurement central for my company. Visited sites to unearth those laborer's who had the potential to become contractors. To maintain quality and continuity at work, I have developed policies that support laborer's - Food, transport and incentives for completing a task much before the expected timelines without compromising on the quality, has increased the level of commitment at work. Today I have a network of 500 suppliers and 200 subcontractors - MS, Electrical, Fire, Painter, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpenter and Civil.
