The University of Ottawa Gender, Peace and Security Collaboratory (uOGPS) was launched in 2020. The mandate of the uOGPS is to promote dialogue, collaboration, research and learning on topics and issues related to gender equality, peace and security. The objectives of the uOGPS include: (a) To boost strategic insight into the UNSCR 1325+ Agenda and the SDGs by broadening andempowering the conversation with more complex, inclusive, and multifaceted ideas, evidence, and coordination in the WPS (Women, Peace and Security) ecosystem. (b) To ensure a meaningful and lasting implementation of the government’s 5 CNAP objectives by developing and delivering customised tools for—and building the capacity of—the next generation of scholars, practitioners, grassroots activists, and policymakers.(c) To value, share, and broadcast localised forms of knowledge produced with policymakers—and the public—in Canada, among Indigenous peoples, and beyond, securing Canada’s reputation and leadership of the file.
