I have twenty four years of experience in sponge iron field right from project conceptionstage to plant commissioning stage with initial troubleshooting, operation and maintenanceof Direct Reduction Plant for producing sponge iron by use of non-coking coal. I have beenassociated with all the different sections of these plant, namely Rotary Kiln, Rotary Cooler,Product Separation, After Burning Chamber, Evaporation Cooler, Electrostatic Precipitator,Briquetting Plant, Raw Material Handling in iron ore and coal crushing/sizing units. Inaddition to this, I have worked in mini blast furnace and non-recovery type coke oven plantfor managing the production and proper maintenance of these units. I have also beeninvolved in managing the management information, planning and inventory control, pollutioncontrol, and maintenance of equipments, improvement, new development related task etc.Currently, I have transferred to project work for establishing the plant expansion work in steelproduction by 7 MTPA through conventional route and also in coal gasification and gasbased DRI route to steel melting and finally to finished steel product.
