UpperCrust Laundry was birthed in 2015 after a long run under a different company name: UpperCrust Maids, a house cleaning company. At our height, we had 6 employees, 3 Angie's List SuperService Awards and a grand reputation throughout the MD/DC/VA region.Even though we had a great history and brand, we found ourselves in an odd situation because my husband and I were honest with ourselves and admitted that we did not love the house cleaning industry. And so we pulled together our employees and let them know we were closing. BEST decision ever!When we had the cleaning company, occasionally a client would ask us if we also took care of laundry. What we discovered was that we LOVED dealing with laundry.I grew up in a household with parents who always dressed well and my mother even sewed clothes. We were taught to take care of our clothes---to keep them clean and fresh and wrinkle free. My mother in particular taught me to love my clothes as long as they were in good condition and to either toss out or give away once they had lost their usefulness to me.It is against that backdrop of respect for clothing that in 2015 my husband and I decided to take a leap of faith and follow our dream. Even though UpperCrust Maids had established itself and was award winning, we decided to start anew with an industry and business we LOVED---laundry!We could not be happier and our pick up/drop off company is truly a joy to us. We work with residential and commercial clients.
