With more than 20 years in real estate, urban development, and Infrastructure sector, Tirthankar leverages his dynamic exposure across a wide range of asset classes with global consulting firms like Cushman & Wakefield, Capitaland, Knight Frank and JLL in urban research, master-planning & architecture, quality assurance, transaction advisory and proptech.In his last engagement with Jones Lang LaSalle [NYSE: JLL], he was undertaking REIS (Real Estate Intelligence Services), thought leadership reports, bespoke research, data-center advisory, EV charging infrastructure and urban mobility, and specialized research for alternative asset classes.Early on in his career, he was into liaising with ULBs and government agencies like KMDA, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, West Bengal Housing Board, and Kolkata Port Trust in urban redevelopment schemes, bid advisory for industrial land and PPP projects for mega projects like warehousing, IT-SEZs and integrated developments like the 5000-acre Dankuni Township project in West Bengal.Having served and was trained by HDB - Singapore Government in master-planning and architectural Services in India during his engagement with Surbana-Jurong from 2004-2008, which included India's largest mass housing project - Sukhobrishti at New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal. He has also worked on a concept submission of a 2520-acre smart city project at Bikaner for the Government of Rajasthan in 2015. In the midst of his career, he sold luxury real estate worth USD 35 mn., associated with PNB as a mortgage advisor for over 5 years, and has also brokered a USD 1 bn. licensing deal for ‘Disney Homes’ in 2013 for Knight Frank. Having lived and worked out of more than 7 Indian cities [Chennai, Delhi NCR, Agra, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata], he has driven more than 1,000,000 km of Indian Highways in the last 2 decades, in his pursuit to acquire last mile expertise and develop a deep understanding of social inclusivity, growth corridors and economic drivers beyond metropolitan areas.
