Ziad has international experience in Planning, GIS, and Sustainable Construction within the Middle East and the US. He has held a variety of roles, in both the private and public sector, which advance a holistic understanding of the spectrum of stakeholders and skills involved in the urban development process. Key capabilities: - Urban and Environmental planning: capital improvement projects, environmental impact reporting, and socioeconomic studies. -Geographic Information Systems (GIS): citywide system implementation, data collection, and spatial analysis.- Sustainable construction: Work experience in LEED, Estidama, GSAS, and CEEQUAL in both Design and onsite Construction Supervision. Ziad possesses a Masters in Planning from the University of Southern California, from where he earned distinction for his sustainable redevelopment proposal of the Port of Los Angeles. He also holds undergraduate degrees, in Biology and International Studies which provide a greater appreciation of the multidisciplinary nature of the Design + Planning process. In addition to his academic background, he holds professional certifications in project management (PMP).
