Provide early intervention speech therapy to families and children in the Eastern Carver County School district

I strive to provide individualized speech therapy to preschoolers and school-aged children who have a variety of speech/language needs in order for them to be successful communicators at home, school, and in social situations. I have experience with articulation, language, fluency, apraxia, executive functioning, social skills/social thinking, autism, phonology, and a variety of other developmental delays. I believe in the efficacy of Michelle Garcia Winner and Stephanie Madrigal's Superflex: A Superhero Social Thinking Program. have been successful in remediating the /r/ and /s/ sounds and I enjoy teaching strategies for facilitating and maintaining fluency. I will work with your family to find the most flexible time and best environment to provide therapy, whether it be at my home-based clinic, your home, or daycare.

Responsible for assessment, remediation, and consultation for speech/language disorders in preschool through 6th grade students. Work with students who have disorders in a variety of areas, including phonology, articulation, language, fluency, voice, social skills, apraxia, autism, and executive functioning. Responsible for evaluations, interpreting data, writing reports/IEPs, implementing IEP goals through creative therapy ideas, updating progress notes, collaborating with staff and family, documenting for Medicaid, supervising graduate students and paraprofessionals, and creating visual supports for students. Also plan and implement social thinking groups within the school.

Co-taught an early intervention class with an occupational therapist to a group of preschool children who had a variety of special needs. Provided early intervention speech/language services. Worked closely with families to provide strategies for improving communication skills (through picture communication systems, sign language, songs, etc.). Also provided individual speech therapy to students with articulation/language disorders and provided speech/hearing screenings to Saint Luke's Childcare Center and other local private schools.
