I commenced the role of Qld State Production Manager with A&J Australia in November 2019 with the prospect of learning new skills and new challenges. The role has not failed to deliver, with my duties and responsibilities extending beyond production to including the general operations of the Brisbane plant, which include production and maintenance functions and scheduling, logistics and warehousing operations and the management of 23 staff across 3 continuous shifts.

In 2016 I moved into the position of Department Supervisor for the Extrusion Blow Moulding division at Queensland Blow Moulders. Reporting directly to the General Manager, my role covers complete overseeing of all operations in this department.

I started with Qld Blowmoulders as the night shift operations supervisor for both the extrusion and stretch blow moulding divisions. This role involved all aspects of production to warehousing of finished products. In 2010 I was promoted to Senior Technician for the company and as such I was responsible for;

• Mould changes and machine set up• Product and process set up • Operation and monitoring of all production machinery (extrusion/ injection)

Technician for the industrial packaging division of one of Australia’s largest recycling/packaging companies. Specialised in manufacturing 10lt – 25lt ‘cubes’ for liquid dangerous goods and chemical storage. Tasks managed in this role included;• Mould changes• Production machinery and ancillary equipment operations• Raw material management• Warehousing• Materials handling• EBA committee

I began as a casual general hand on the production lines manufacturing steel pails and 60lt drums through the labour hire company Drake Industrial. I accepted a permanent position in the Extrusion Blow Moulding division of Southcorp and within three months transferred to Visy Industrial Packaging with the acquisition of the Southcorp packaging division.During this time my tasks included;• Metal press• Rolling press• Machine operation• Production line• Fabrication• Materials handling• Quality control• Closure fitting• Pneumatic tool operation
