But then again, if you’re looking for that, you’re probably a robot. I don’t want robots.I want connections.Art and communication are all about how creators connect to their audience. That’s true about Christmas cookies I make with my kids, and it’s true about the news promos trying to pick up new viewers. I’ve been using cameras and computers to connect people for years. Whether it’s daily news topicals getting people excited to hear stories from their hometown or a weekly live sermon broadcast to bring neighbors hope when they can’t leave their homes, it can’t happen without personal connection. It’s been a joy of mine ever since that first high school journalism class to tell stories. Few things match the thrill of finding an interesting character, the anticipation while learning the right tools, or the peace from knowing when to be quiet and let the story tell itself. Though a deep dish pizza with my family comes PRETTY close.I’ve made some incredible connections along the way, but I know my best stories haven’t been told yet. I can’t wait to connect with you. Maybe someday we’ll get to tell each other’s stories.
