The world leader in exploration and crude oil production.In late 2009, the company realized that supplier performance issues were impacting its operational performance and identified the need to drive more business benefits from its relationships with suppliers. The project objective is to develop a sustainable Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) capability, which will improve cost efficiency and operational performance.Saudi Aramco is committed to developing an effective local supply base and the project will support the development of the strategy to further this aim. The three-month program is structured around three phases: • Analyze existing SRM capabilities and opportunities • Develop a supplier segmentation framework, segment the supply base and develop strategies associated with each segment • Design the SRM toolkit and organization to support the SRM capability
