As a San Diego native who spent my high school and college years working at restaurants, it was my dream to open up a restaurant with my brother. In 2012, that dream became a reality when we launched Ember + Still in Solana Beach. Owning a restaurant was like drinking from a firehose - beyond basic restaurant duties like greeting customers, cleaning dishes, and bartending, I also had to manage a team of 25, build our marketing/brand strategy, do the bookkeeping, coordinate with legal/accounting, and perform a wide array of other functions that contributed to the success of the business. It was a battle. After consistent 100 hour work weeks and growing the business to recurring 6-figure revenue numbers, we sold the business. While owning a restaurant proved to be an extremely valuable experience, I wanted to dig deeper into technology, finance, and management, so I furthered my education and got my MBA from USC.I moved up to LA for my MBA and simultaneously, decided to pursue a career with Otis, the largest international elevator company in the world. Despite being an old school company and industry, elevators are a necessary facet of life and construction has been booming in Southern California, so I felt it was a great place to learn enterprise sales and client services. Over the past few years, my personal interest shifted toward researching the evolution of SaaS. I have since turned that into a reality and am now a NAM Account Executive for SnapLogic, one of the highest rated intelligent integration platforms in the industry. On the weekends you'll find me working out, golfing, and cooking up something tasty.
