I am working in the project team to support actuarial and finance aspects of BT’s IFRS17 solution. Some of my key achievements and responsibilities in this role thus far:• Mapped ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ requirements and documents down “As Is” process maps• Assessing initial high level IFRS financial impacts for both general insurance, lenders mortgage insurance and life insurance• Ensuring data, system, process, financial and regulatory reporting requirement changes driven by new standard are documented• Act as conduit between finance and actuarial

Some of my key achievements in this role:• Developed a well-structured dividend and capital upstreaming process across 30+ BT subsidiaries;• Received great feedbacks from Board members;• Received great feedbacks from CFO for improving control and transparency of surplus capital;• Improved efficiency by building a suites of Excel based Board paper templates to shorten the production time required from 1 week to 3 minutes;• Improved capital utilization efficiency by developing a well-structured dividend and capital upstreaming process across 30+ BT subsidiaries;• Improved collaborations and engagement with business and Group stakeholders to ensure appropriate level of capital allocation to BT from Group as well as allocation to subsidiaries; Improve return on shareholder capital• Improved the governance around BT’s shareholder capital investment by implementing a new investment management framework; • Improved the investment earnings by developing a strategic asset allocation model to identify short term business opportunities and explored long term opportunities;• Enhanced the performance monitoring of BT’s investment assets;

Some of my key achievements in this role include:• Automated the month-end reporting and forecasting processes and shorten the reporting time required from 15 days to 2 days;• Bring in-house the lender’s mortgage insurance valuation model; • Played an instrumental role during the data migration; • Commissioned the Insurance Liability Valuation reports and supported the commission of the Financial Condition Reports.
