I gave process engineering support to the MDT and collaborated with other MDT’s by maximizing production within the quality specification while minimizing costs without negatively impacting safety or the environment. I ensured that the plant and equipment was running efficiently by checking production reports, DCS trends and lab quality reports every morning. I also tried to keep up to date with new technology and searched for areas to apply it in the existing processes. As the environmental representative, I also monitored fresh water, effluent generated, etc. to ensure environmental compliance. I reviewed the current process control and the % uptime once a month to ensure that existing control is efficient and applied correctly. I also supported the MDT during root cause identification and problem soving and implement corrective/preventative actions if required.
