Popular workshops include… Show more In this leadership role, I oversee the day-to-day running of the Royal Victoria Chapel as a popular heritage centre and events venue.The Chapel houses a permanent exhibition telling the story of the Royal Victoria Hospital and its patients and staff, as well as temporary pop-up displays developed in house with the support of our heritage and research volunteers. Our education programme is well-used by schools from Hampshire, Wiltshire and West Sussex. Popular workshops include 'Meet the Nightingale Nurse' (KS1), Local History Study (KS2/KS3), The RVH in WW1 and War Poetry in Context (KS4).The Royal Victoria Chapel is licensed for civil ceremonies, offering a unique historic historic venue for a wedding or reception and a truly memorable experience. The building is also now well-established as a performance venue, hosting regular concerts by our resident orchestra - the Wessex Sinfonietta - as well as Candlelight Concerts by Fever and performances by other community orchestras and choirs.
