Worked with small executive team and Board of Directors to transform the capital structure, moving to the 3rd generation of private ownership - the employees. During the last 3 years, as housing starts dropped from over 2 million to 400,000, dramatic downsizing and lender support were required, as well as focused cash management in this high volume/low margin business. Successfully completed recapitalization to tax-advantaged 100% ESOP S-Corporate through various legal steps. Converted company's credit facility to a $160 million asset-based lending agreement. Managed and forecast liquidity through 3 years of downsizing to satisfy lender requirements. This required centralization of all cash disbursements through me as well as daily and weekly bank reporting. Trained the traders and purchasing groups to understand liquidity and the role they had to play in managing working capital. Managed financial reporting, audits, budgeting and corporate accounting functions (7-10 employees). Received Manager of the Year award in 2008 from the operations management group based on assistance provided in managing working capital. Worked with Receiver appointed by the lenders from January - September 2010 to facilitate an orderly liquidation of the assets resulting from lack of investor interest in purchasing the company in its entirety.
