This included developing the inspection reports, auditing the product and process, and building a strategy for customer acceptance.• Provided Project Management cover for the Class 158/16X on behalf of Angel Trains at the Wabtec Rail facility in Loughborough, in collaboration with the Operator East Midland Trains. Supported the supplier in the project start up using return of experience and significantly developed and improved the project reporting pack.• Provided Bid Evaluation for CAF for the Jubilee Northern Line Additional Trains. The reviews provided feedback and scoring for Program and Quality documentation in accordance with the bid evaluation criteria defined by LU in the ITT, Instruction to Bidders, Proposal Templates and schedules in the Manufacturing Supply Agreement and Fleet Support Agreement.• Preparing various bid submissions for consultancy opportunities with our clients.

Tasked with a Graduate Research Project “Investigation of the Effects of Higher Axle Loads of Articulated Train Sets on Bridges And Structures”, I managed the project end to end by conducting research, arranging meetings, updating project plans, carrying out risk assessments, creating and distributing minutes and agendas and managing the overall project delivery. I supervised a four-man team for 12 months to carry out 350 man-hours of work used for a Tender submission.Major Achievements:• Bogie Modelling, Salzgitter, Germany: Developed a 3-D Finite Element model of the new LINT motor bogie using Hypermesh which featured 14 static and dynamic load steps simulated in ANSYS. Created further model iterations by changing element type and mesh densities for a model still used as part of the design validation.• HVAC Condition Monitoring Project, Manchester, UK: Delivered a useful reliability study to plan the first HVAC overhaul after studying HVAC components history and comparing them to condition monitoring data to demonstrate which modules required the most corrective work and which required the most visits to the HVAC workshop.• Northern Line Reliability, London, UK: Prioritised potential engineering changes by developing an automated tool which matched contractual performance target penalties to associated systems and components to determine costs against different types of failures.• Northern Line Bogie Overhaul, London, UK: Developed detailed work instructions, and set the footprint for the overhaul layout by generating the task list supported by kaizen events using tooling to validate the steps and approximate task times.
