"During my internship in the medical laboratory, I gained invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical setting. I assisted in processing and analyzing various laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens. Under the supervision of experienced medical technologists, I performed routine tests and procedures, such as:- Complete Blood Counts (CBCs)- Blood chemistry analysis- Urinalysis- Microbiological culturing and sensitivity testing- Histopathological slide preparationI developed a strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols, quality control measures, and quality assurance procedures. I also honed my analytical and problem-solving skills, learning to troubleshoot instrument issues and interpret test results.Collaboration with the laboratory team enhanced my communication and teamwork skills, as we worked together to ensure efficient workflow and accurate test results. I observed and assisted in reporting and interpreting test results, gaining insight into the critical role of laboratory medicine in patient care.This internship solidified my passion for medical laboratory science and prepared me for a career in this field."
