I was an Associate Professor at a small college in Illinois. I became an Adjunct in the fall of 2017. Over the years, I have taught Introduction to Psychology, Critical Thinking, Composition, Research, Health Communication, Effective Speaking, Professional Development and Career Success. These constitute general education programs.As an enthusiastic teaching professional in Higher Education, I work to engage each student. and to treat each as a unique person who really matters. My style is a combination of Socratic dialog, rambling discussions and indirect lessons that tie other classes and life to what is being learned.

I taught freshman and returning adult learners how to improve their thinking, reading, writing and presenting skills. Classes taught: Speech Communication, Business Communication, Professional Development, Logic, Ethics, Fundamentals of College English and Composition . Each is designed to bring students up to college level ability. In addition, I worked to to ensure that employers get qualified employees. When it comes to the bottom line, workers that can do the job are who matter.

Directed fundraising initiatives in ten states; Directed public events for national speakers and Trained Unit Volunteers in Development for local community fund development.

Directed first State-wide (14 region) $5M Campaign of Hope for funding direct services for cancer patients -Designed and executed State-wide strategic plans for fourteen Regions while meeting $5M goal from individual and corporate donors. Worked with Corporate leaders, staff and the community to implement campaign. Developed strategic plans and scenarios yo meet goals. Assisted in community walks.
