I served as the technical founder and principal engineer for an Authentication-as-a-Service product based on zero-knowledge proofs. My responsibilities varied over the course of ~6 years, but I'm particularly proud of a few highlights:- I collaborated with ACM fellow and professor of cryptography Jonathan Katz to develop NuID's zero-knowledge authentication protocol for which we were granted 2 patents.- I hired and led a small team of architects and engineers to deliver a public authentication API service, a web-based developer portal, and a suite of libraries in various languages and toolchains to simplify integration with our service.- My team and I established and maintained a cloud-native developer experience that ensured the correctness, performance, and reliability of our service with on-demand development environments, live previews, progressive deployment, and structured observability.

I served as an individual contributor to the data science team within the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft. My responsibilities were split between data science and data engineering to deliver accurate, reliable pipelines, metrics, analyses, and visualizations depended upon by Windows senior leadership and other organizations within Microsoft. Specifically, I contributed to development of the active device metrics and device age analyses that informed high-level Windows update and delivery strategies.

At Rustici I contributed to eLearning libraries and browser extensions to promote adoption of the emerging xAPI specification, as well as support existing SCORM implementations. I also helped design and implement a conformance suite for new and existing implementations to improve compatibility across specification-compliant learning management systems.

During undergrad I built and administrated a local GPGPU cluster for the McCabe research group at Vanderbilt. I was responsible for transparently retooling post-doc workflows to make use of the CUDA model for parallel computation, which often led to orders-of-magnitude improvement in simulation efficiency.
