I am a devoted Constituent Advocate, and community engager with more than 15 years of experience working for elected officials at the federal and local levels. I guide individuals in navigating the bureaucratic system, and motivate individuals to become future leaders. I have an undergraduate degree in International Relations and French from Wheaton College in Massachusetts, and studied European Union Politics and Economics from Sorbonne University in Paris and have a Masters in Healthcare Administration. I have also pursued the "Art and Craft Lobbying" certificate from American University. I currently oversee the Customer Service and Outreach Departments at the Orange County Property Appraiser's office, and in collaboration with my team achieve a 99.8% customer satisfaction rating while managing a staff of fourteen. Additionally, I have orchestrated hundreds of outreach events. During my tenure with the United States Senate, I managed 8,400 federal cases, and directed non-profits and lobbyists to pursue grant funding opportunities while effectively forging a strong congressional rapport with the federal agencies for Floridians.I am a first generation Indian-American and native Floridian born in Orlando, and community engagement is important to me. I have served as the City of Orlando Mennello Museum of American Art- Board of Trustees, and currently Marketing Chair for the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Orlando, and Co-Director for the Orlando Chapter, New Leaders Council (NLC), a national organization in forty-eight states which encourage leaders with skills to run for office, manage campaigns, and create start-ups.My passion is to create an awareness of Alzheimer's & Dementia. Recently I wrote two articles titled, "She Did It To Herself" , and the Recognize, Assist, Include Support Engage (RAISE Family Caregivers Act).
