is responsible for managing and supervising all stages of social policy programing and related advocacy from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of concrete and sustainable results. This includes programmes aimed at improving (a) public policies to reduce child poverty; (b) evidence generation in including the evaluation of programmes, large-scale surveys and data analysis (c) social protection coverage and impact on children; (d) the transparency, adequacy, equity and efficiency of child-focused public investments and financial management; and (e) governance, decentralization and accountability measures to increase public participation and the quality, equity and coverage of social services. This encompasses both direct programme work with government and civil society partners as well as linkages and support to teams working on education, health, child protection, water and sanitation, and HIV.

UNICEF Tanzania has an annual budget of $ 40 million, 100 staff and three offices across the country. Managing a team of four and an annual budget of $ 1.3 million, responsible for UNICEF’s leadership in social protection within UN’s ‘Delivering as One’ and enhanced national investments in children.
