At IBM I worked as Program Manager, Consulting Education, Learning and Knowledge, Global Business Services – I was responsible for complete life-cycle of requirement discovery to program delivery for consulting education; implemented process innovations in program delivery by developing and coaching senior business practitioners, as consulting education delivery specialists.

Part of the team which won the ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) BEST award for four years from 2004 onward.The focus of my work over the five year period was on developing and delivering various curriculum based learning programs for emerging managers, mid-level managers and senior managers. The curriculum was developed based on competencies and capabilities identified by the top management team as essential at each of these managerial levels.Interactions with top management of each business ensured the alignment of business growth requirements and learning content.A project I especially enjoyed working on was on creating cross cultural sensitivity. This was a completely new aspect in cross-cultural learning, as most programs focussed on US, UK and other cultures, while this program developed new content from the Indian corporate culture perspective. The programs were delivered to top management teams at customer locations and in acquisition integration scenarios.

Software Development for Database Management. As part of the Training, Research and Development Cell, I was responsible for ensuring digital access to the repository of information available at LBSNAA and with the DC offices across India necessary for the probationers during their course at the Academy. I also took responsibility for the publication of The Administrator during these years and worked on research and publication of case studies and multiple volume reports on Bonded Labourers and women Agricultural labourers in India
