Usman started his career with Greater Manchester Police as a Mobile Device Examiner in 2015, going on to become a Digital Forensic Investigator in 2016. In 2022, he progressed and became a Senior Digital Forensic Evidence Examiner.As a Senior Digital Forensic Evidence Examiner, he leads a large team of Digital Forensic Evidence Examiners responsible for extracting evidence from various digital devices and media. He ensures that best practices and high quality standards are met. He manages the daily operations and prioritises workload of the Digital Forensic Laboratory according to submissions priority/risk whilst making informed decisions to support the Digital Forensic Evidence Examiners. His role also involves managing team performance, development and competencies, and HR matters while supporting staff wellbeing.Usman is an experienced investigator with a demonstrated history of working in the law enforcement industry. He has a professional work ethic along with great organisational and computer literacy skills.
