As a research student, I investigated the antimicrobial and pharmaceutical properties of calcium sulfate composites for the treatment of diabetic foot osteomyelitis. This research allowed me to improve my microbiological techniques and pharmaceutical analysis testing to discover the properties of novel antibiotic-Stimulan® combinations. I completed a literature review and critical appraisal to find reliable evidence and applying to my own research. Furthermore, I used scientific writing and data analysis skills to analyse and process laboratory data. Lastly, I developed presentation skills by delivering key findings to the staff at De Montfort University and Kettering General Hospital to improve the treatment of diabetic foot osteomyelitis.

As a dispenser, I provided advice and information to the customers on the healthcare counter to ensure they leave our Pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their health needs. I ensured the safe supply of medicine e.g. labelling, dispensing, ordering medicines and collecting prescriptions by complying with professional requirements and standards at Boots.
