By translating research into practice, led a pioneering study with the funding from U.S Embassy on the effectiveness of various culturally based treatment modalities for drug addiction and successfully brought around 424 drug addicts into the recovery process alongside raised drug-related prevention awareness among nearly 10,000 individuals in different community settings. 2006-2010: Drug Addicts Outreach Drop-in-Center, Pakistan. In collaboration of the Colombo Plan, Sri Lanka, conducted initial research to assess the prevalence and pattern of drug use; identified high-risk groups, contributing factors and existing gaps; collected quantitative and qualitative data from street awareness sessions, drop-in centers, and community meetings through focus groups, interviews, and surveys; analysed data to comprehend the effectiveness of the interventions; and established indicators and evaluation tools to conduct regular evaluations to monitor progress.
