Reviewing contractual documents ensuring compliance to the project. Managing overall project construction and ensuring quality and HSE standard adherence. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager supervising different activities including design works, advising on site feasibility. Coordinating and implementing technical measures to ensure fully integration of design and construction activities. Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the inspectors as applicable. Extensively involved at the site reviewing shop drawings, reviewing and proposing structural solutions for value engineering as approved and agreed with the client. Reviewing the site works including design proposals, method statements, pre-qualifications, material approvals ensuring the work is carried out as per the contract and design specifications. Convening and attending the weekly progress meetings with the PMC and the contractor / sub-contractors ensuring timely completion of the project. Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee the implementation of safety procedures on the project. Work as a Structural Engineer / Project Manager with RAK Properties, a property and a real estate developer, designing, reviewing and analyzing different structures forming part of the in-house design team. Promoted as a Project Manager / Resident Engineer in the later part, assisting Senior Project Managers, finalizing the design with the consultants and liaising with the site contractors at the project of Mina Al Arab, a leisure and holiday beach resort development worth 2.7 billion USD.Structural Design, Analysis & Review: Analysis & design review of various 5 star hotels at Mina Al Arab namely the Hilton hotel, The Intercontinental, the Rotana and the British Colonial hotel. Discussions with consultants on structural layout value engineering the design. Design proposals & approvals during the design development and the detailed design stage. Design of various structures, community swimming pool, retaining walls, shade structures, utility rooms, design of uni-pole advertisement sign boards etc. as per the Euro-Codes and British Standards and producing hand calculations for municipality approval during the infrastructure and landscape works at Mina Al Arab.

Work on different projects as a graduate structural engineer producing calculations both in steel and concrete designs. It included some famed projects like The Trump International Hotel and Towers, Gateway Towers and Iris Bay.• The Trump International Hotel and Towers: A 3BN AED project at the center of The Palm Jumeirah island. Responsible for the insert connection design. Checking and rectifying the Main trusses at the Mezzanine level which span between 25 to 40 meters using Robot. Preparing the GAP matrix report and Quantity check for steel works between the tender and final stage of the project.Design of the composite beams at the mezzanine level using CORUS BDES.Checking and producing calculations for the MOCK UP at The Trump Towers.• The Promenade, Channel Towers: Preliminary design of the pile layout scheme for one of The Channel Towers which were 3 towers of 2B+G+2P+43 storeys. Piles were 1.2 meters dia. and 40 meters deep with C60 grade concrete.• The Gateway Towers: Assisted in the review of PT transfer slab for Gateway Tower. Checking inputs (geometry/ material / boundary conditions / cable layout) for floors & design output and drawings submitted by the contractor (VSL).

Worked for 16 months as a civil site engineer at the construction of the Shoreline Apartments at the Palm Jumeirah Island, Dubai. Main responsibilities included:Managing and supervising diverse construction work at the site, which was an 11 storey residential building, from the phase of formwork to re-bars and finally concreting. The finishes works followed which included the supervision of block works, plastering and painting.Dealing with the site consultants and preparing the requests for inspection at specified times.Daily reports keeping a record for work, materials used, materials sought for coming days and the number of workers at site.Working together with the electrical, mechanical and most importantly the safety department to assure proper and safe work.Dealing with the management groups like Turner to assure a quality and on-time completion of work.Supervising the work for the final handing over to the client engineer at the end of the project.
