Key responsibilities include covering the ‘Market Strategy’ as well as supervising all research coverage including sectors such as Commercial Banks, Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, FMCGs, Electricity, Cements and Textiles. The BMA Research team maintained active coverage of 56 top-tier Pakistani stocks, accounting for more than 76% of the KSE-100 Index’s market capitalization. Publications included daily reports, sector / company detailed reports, Budget and Strategy reports. Responsible for auditing all financial models, generating investment ideas and carrying out client presentations and meetings.Acted as Advisor to the Board of Directors of BMA Funds, a subsidiary of BMA Capital. Also liaised with the Corporate Finance team on various transactions including privatization of state owned enterprises (SOEs).Lead member of the team involved in setting up a Private Equity division of BMA Group. Acted as Research point of contact for BMA’s international partners. Promoted to Senior Vice President within one year of service rather than the mandatory two years due to outstanding performance. Guided BMA Capital to 3rd place in the “Best Brokerage House” category in the CFA Society Pakistan awards in 2014/15, voted by about 50 domestic institutions. At the same time, supervised coverage of various sectors including Banks, Chemicals, Cements, Power and OMCs. The AKD Research maintained active coverage of more than 30 top-tier Pakistani stocks accounting for more than 70% of the KSE-100 Index’s market capitalization. Responsible for creating as well as auditing detailed company financial models, generating investment ideas, writing daily / monthly reports as well detailed sector, strategy and budget reports. Guided AKD Securities to 3rd place in the “Best Brokerage House” category in the CFA Society Pakistan awards in 2012/13. Represented AKD Securities at conferences and equity roadshows in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom (UK), thereby helping revive the international sales desk (est. 5%-10% market share).
