The public, as with many government programs, must be educated so that their opinion can be measured compared to the political perception. Government agencies and industry need to focus on re-branding nuclear technology around the education of public policy from the grassroots instead of from the politicians. This directly relates to the 30 year political derailment of Yucca Mountain. A paradigm shift is necessary for public education and acceptance of nuclear technology science and its future. Our current mission is to re-brand nuclear technology through grassroots education. Nuclear power has been demonized by the media and politics for over 50 years, somehow, we have to revisit the current day research, current advanced and advanced reactor designs, bringing this to public awareness. We also have to move the dialogue and classification of nuclear to a green renewable energy provider.
