Responsible for managing, controlling and evaluating IT operations and electronic data of the groupManaging IT staff of Software/Hardware engineers, System Administrators and IT support executives.Liaise with Software, hardware and infrastructure vendors in implementing new IT projects and services.Identify and address IT requirements and process improvements, and peruse opportunities to enhance core business with aid of new technologies.

Managed product development of 3 Scrum teams consist of software engineers and QA engineers. Coordinated with research specialists to gather requirements and prepared Software Requirement Specifications and Development Specifications. Collaborated with multi-location project teams on customisations, configuration of products and execution of research projects as per customer needs.

Lead the “Provisioning Module” team of the AvaBill telecom product. Team consisted of 7 members, including Software Engineers, QA Engineers and Support Engineers.Performed requirement Analysis and solution design to cater new provisioning engines. Developed software components using PLSQL and Core Java to address change requests and improvements of the product.

Develop software applications using VB, ASP, Java and JSP. Developed applications include Inbound Tour Management system for a Tour Operating company, A Fixed Income Security system for a Primary dealer and a Monitoring and Evaluation system for Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka.Involved in projects throughout the SDLC performing requirement analysis, SRS preparations, application design, user training and system deployment and maintenance.Managed development teams of 5 – 10 developers as team lead / project manager Prepared project proposals, Gap analysis documents and software requirement specifications.
