Cloud Operations Engineer
As a Cloud Operations Engineer at eGain Corporation, my responsibilities include:• Setting up and defining monitoring frameworks using tools like Groundwork, Dynatrace, and CloudWatch. • Identifying and resolving infrastructure and service issues and escalating them to development teams when necessary. • Developing automated pipelines, processes, and scripts to facilitate the deployment of customer solutions in cloud environments. • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems promptly, providing escalation support to ensure the 24x7 availability of hosted applications. • Handling operational tasks such as incident management, deploying new applications, and enhancing existing ones. • Migrating on-premises applications to AWS and Azure cloud platforms and designing and implementing disaster recovery processes. • Maintaining the cloud environment through continuous patching, OS kernel upgrades, and remediating security vulnerabilities.• Performing standard database maintenance activities, including backup/restore, re-indexing, log file management, security patching and monitoring of SQL Agent jobs.
