Worked on various types of vessels from DP vessels - Anchor handling supply/General Cargo/Bulk Carrier/Cement Tankers(self discharge - pneumatic & mechanical) & Container ships. Experience in handling machinery spaces, drydocking/vessel conversion at China & Turkey, vessel takeover/yard delivery and salvage operation of an oil tanker from the coast of Chennai, India. Independently in charge of machinery - operation/maintenance & troubleshooting of various kinds of machinery and equipment such as generators/steam generators(boilers) / purifiers/air compressors/fresh water generators/sewage treatment plants/portable and fixed fire fighting systems/incinerators and ancillaries of various types in marine environment.Assisted team in carrying out various maintenance procedures in different types of steering gear systems(CPP and electro hydraulic). Also, main marine propulsion engines both 2 stroke and 4 stroke. Experience with Rolls Royce - Bergen/Mitsubishi/Hanshin/Man B&W - ME engines.Familiar with operation/maintenance & troubleshooting of Central Air Con & Refrigeration systems of various types. Having interest in working with on board electrical officers to learn/troubleshoot electrical and electronic engineering systems.Obtained Indian license in competency examinations at the very first attempt.Secured first place in marine mechanics competition - National level, held in AMET University - 2015.
