Visiting ResearcherRaja Ramanna Centre For Advanced Technology (Rrcat) Jun 2023 - Aug 2023Indore, Madhya Pradesh, InOxide Nano-electronics Laboratory, Laser Materials Processing Division Raja Ramanna Center for Advanced Technology, Indore, India>> Explored the phenomena of Conduction Quantization in Tantalum Oxide (Ta2O5) based crossbar Resistive Memory (ReRAM or RRAM) Devices, for Neuromorphic Computing. Publication(s) in preparation.>> Conducted the device fabrication using RF Sputtering and Atomic Layer Deposition. Top electrode was chosen as reactive metals to ensure dominant Electro-Chemical Metallization (ECM) mechanism-based resistive switching. Thin-film characterization was conducted using reflectometer and optical profilometer, and the physical characterization of the device was conducted using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). Material composition was then confirmed using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), and Electron-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDAX). >> Conducted Quasi-static electrical measurements using standard probe station and Keithley Source Measuring Unit (SMU). -
Senior Design ProjectMini-Circuits Aug 2022 - Jun 2023Brooklyn, Ny, UsDue to the high cost of traditional Vector Network Analyzer (VNAs), institutions such as community colleges face challenges in affording essential RF equipment for practical coursework. Given the growing interest in RF technologies, institutions seek to integrate RF coursework, often theory-heavy, with practical experimentation. To remedy this issue, we: - Developed an affordable VNA solution costing <$5K, capable of measuring frequencies up to 14GHz.- To do so, we simulated circuit on Keysight ADS for initial design validation.- Programmed VNA functionality and constructed the equipment for practical use.Follow the link below for a full breakdown of the project! -
