o Studied the role of tumor microenvironment in breast cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.o Established patient tumor derived CAF and cancer cell lines and growth and media optimization for scale-up of primary patient-derived cell lines in the lab.o Routinely performed fundamental in vitro and in vivo stem cell assays, limiting dilution tumor xenograft assays, FACS sorting, and immunological assays to evaluate cancer cells trained by cancer associated fibroblasts.o Designed and executed next generation sequencing (RNAseq) study on tumor tissue from xenografts and primary CAF cells and evaluated gene expression signatures using DESeq2 platform, gene ontology (GO) analysis, and KEGG pathway analysis. o Mentored and developed projects for incoming graduate and undergraduate mentees.
