Traveled to remote data center and switch locations where I install new systems, decommission old systems, and provide general support for user SUN UNIX workstations that otherwise have no UNIX support. Worked daily with Remedy, the ticketing system this tracks and coordinates my work load. I use an automated hardware inventory system, XNG. Responsible for all VZW, South Region's backup infrastructure utilizing Veritas Net Backup with ADIC and Spectra Logic tape libraries with off site tape storage to Iron Mountain where I access Secure Sync to send and recall tapes. Mid-range SUN servers are built with Cisco asynchronous consoles, all versions of Solaris and Veritas 4.1 Foundation Suite and HA using VCS. Experience with Red Hat Linux, limited HPUX and some AIX as well. For system storage needs have experience with HDS, Hitachi, HP, McData, Brocade switches as well as smaller direct attached storage devices such as the EMC, Data Domain , SUN 3500's, 3510's, 5200's, A and D 1000's. System monitoring is Patrol based, paired with "in house" scripts for SMS alerting and Remedy ticket generation. Supported many application servers, some of which include; Calea, Prospect, Radcom, Call Mapper, Geoplan, NetGeographics, E-health, Fusion Works-Voice, VSM, Remedy, DNS and XNG.
