• Gathering requirements from the product team and discuss the priorities with the Product owner.• Create the user story placeholders for features to understand the user journey in a feature and determine the minimum viable product (MVP) in agreement with the product team.• Act as a proxy owner for the AU tax backlog for the local team to prioritize sprint deliveries for effective feature delivery and at the same time prioritizing P1 bugs in a sprint.• Clearly communicate the requirements with developers to make them understand the requirement from the user point of view and identify the roadblocks in well advance. • Create user stories and define acceptance criteria using behavior-driven development (BDD) to communicate the user outcomes best.• Conduct grooming meetings with the internal team to collect data for delivering maximum value in each sprint and prioritize the sprint backlog.• Refine, estimate and plan the user stories for the sprint with the team, assist in clarifying and removing any product or priority related impediments in daily stand-ups, coordinate the sprint review/showcase and provide feedback to the team in the sprint retrospective.• Manage product backlog in order to provide vital information for internal and external teams.• Mentors fellow team members for maintaining a good backlog heath for subsequent sprints. • Prepare test cases to document the possible scenarios and test the calculation scenarios before it gets reported by clients.• Replicate and confirm the product defects in each feature delivery before passing on to the product development and prioritize them based on client impact.• Assess the training requirements for new joiners and update the on-board document as and when any new functionality is added.• Communicates with external team/cross-functional teams for any dependency item in the backlog. • Design screens and forms that are required for the product.

• Documenting business requirements, defining scope and objectives, and formulating systems which are parallel to overall business strategies• Create backlog items to implement tax time changes and report bugs• Keeping abreast of new tax rules and helping the development team in implementing the same• Responsible for training of fellow team members and newly joined engineers with an overview of the product and Tax structure. • Creating test scenarios for automated testing of both the products ‘Agile tax’ and ‘Taxsimple’.• Taking approval from IRS for all e-file scenarios with tax time changes for Federal form 1040• Handle support calls, e-mails and chat during night shifts and clear all queries of retail clients as well as firms. • Always be available to the support team for any query related to Tax calculation or Tax scenarios

• Exposure in US and UK Taxation:Taxation-Preparing/Reviewing Tax Return for Personal/Individual (1040), Company (1120/1120S), Partnership (1065), Non-Resident Tax return (1040-NR) and Estate & Trust Return (1041) and SA 100 returns etc. Along with all relevant Schedules & Forms required as per client input data.• Technical review of Individual, Partnership and corporate tax returns of U.S clients using the US tax software Lacerte, Drake & Ultra Tax.• Preparation and Review of UK Personal Tax returns using UK Tax Software CCH Personal and Digita.• Responsible for maintenance of MIS, delivery of Tax reports to the Accounts Manager for Final review• Sending tax returns to the Accounts Manager within the SLA time. • Interacting with accounts managers to resolve issues arising out of tax returns • Training the team to keep themselves updated on new tax la changes.

• Preparation of Individual, Partnership and corporate tax returns of U.S tax clients using the US tax software Lacerte• Responsible for delivery of Tax reports to the Team Leader for technical review• Sending tax returns to the clients within the SLA time. • Interacting with clients to collect the information and answering tax return related queries
