Even though the practice in general focuses on housing, I was introduced to the practice at the perfect moment when they received several very interesting projects that would offer me a broad spectrum of types of projects. I've had involvement in large scale town planning project, large luxury hotel, city centre office refurbishment, healthcare project and many others. I worked there as a part of completing my studies at Riga Building College, and then after graduating until i left to do my BA in Liverpool, UK. Z&B Prjekts is a small architecture practice in Riga, Latvia doing a variety of work including residential, industrial and retail. I had an opportunity to work there as an intern to get the sense of the profession. This placement gave me my first experience as to what it's like to be an architect. And apart from giving me introductory knowledge surrounding the profession, it reinforced my choice to become an architect and I haven't looked back since.
