HIV Care and Support Specialist in CCCRN implementing the Integrated Child Health and Social Service Award Lot 1 (ICHSSA 1) in the 31 LGAs in Akwa Ibom State to ensure that Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) are cared for, and protected by their households, communities, local and state government to reduce their vulnerability to HIV. Provides HIV counseling and testing; care and treatment for children, adults and key population; support PMTCT; case management for OVC; and TB/HIV integration and car.

Achievements and responsibilities:1. Clinical Management, prevention and treatment to People Living with HIV/AIDS.2. Team leader and supervisor; TA-Pharmacists, TA- Laboratory services, Community HIV Case managers and testers.3. Ensures that HIV Rapid Test Continuous Quality Improvement are maintained.4.Provides technical support for the community implementation of quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs in the LGA.5. I enrol paediatrics, adolescents, PMTCT and adults identified to be HIV positive to ART treatment.6. I screen PLHIV for TB and refer positive cases to TB unit for treatment while offering clinical services to very ill clients.7. I ensure that good clinical laboratory and pharmaceutical practices and quality assurance are properly followed by Laboratory and Pharmacy team.8. I enrol Orphans and Vulnerable Children to OVC services.9. I organize and do weekly training and capacity building to community health workers, community ART case managers and Counselor Testers.10. I supervise the collection of samples for viral loads, collection of DBS for Early Infant Diagnosis to exposed infants and 32 - 36 weeks collection of viral loads from pregnant women 11. I drive the implementation of AP3 ( Accelerating Progress of Paediatrics and PMTCT Program) team in the LGA as the team lead12. Clinical Management of malnourished and anaemic children with subsequent nutritional support from OVC partners.
