Hi, my name is Uwa Ihionkhan! I am a current student at SMU Dedman School of Law and a graduate of Duke University. My passions include psychology, law, advocacy, and community development. My life’s mission is to empower everyone I encounter through compassion and communication. I have been a committed servant-leader for over 10 years, which has proven to be equally challenging as it is rewarding. I had the honor of serving as the Texas State President of the Technology Student Association. Thereafter, I was elected Duke Student Government Vice President of the Durham & Regional Affairs committee. In my personal life, I am an avid reader, podcast listener, and a lifelong learner. I love acquiring new wisdom and broadening my perspective of the human experience. Whenever possible, I strive to help those around me: people, plants, and animals alike. I know I’ve had a successful day when I’ve helped to improve the life of another, even by 1%.
