• Directed the college’s strategic communications efforts, including branding, advertising, marketing, crisis communication, executive communication, media relations, publications, and social media• Led the redesign of the campus website with the goal of making it mobile friendly, student centered, and data driven. Worked with teams of people – including a technology team, a campus-wide advisory board, and executive leadership – to launch a new, internally built website within one year. Developed a learning community to provide long-term training and support for those responsible for updating the web• Developed and implemented a multi-pronged enrollment marketing and advertising plan, including automated emails, print publications, outdoor campaigns, and digital ads. Increased the number of key website page views by 87% in year over year comparisons • Expanded the role of communication in emergency communications at the college to ensure timely notification by effectively partnering with public safety and risk management. Drafted a crisis communication plan and launched training for communication staff• Managed a creative team responsible for graphic design, writing, photography, social media, advertising, marketing, events and emergency communication. Implemented a project workflow to improve customer service and assist graphic designers in coordinating nearly 200 graphic design projects a year• Reported directly to the president and advised the President’s Cabinet. Wrote policies and procedures in collaboration with the Academic Senate, President’s Cabinet, department leads, and legal counsel. This included rewriting a social media policy, developing a media rights guide, implementing a crisis communication procedure, drafting a filming and photography policy• Envisioned and implemented events, including groundbreakings, ribbon-cuttings and an upcoming 70th anniversary Community Carnival and Open House
