Started career in NIC by heading Intellectual Property & Know-how Informatics Division. Provided Patent Information to the R&D institutions in both Government. and Private sector. Participated in more than 100 workshops in leading educational and research & development organizations in CSIR, ICAR, DRDO, TIFAC, IITs, NRDC etc. conducted across the country to create awareness on Intellectual Property Rights in general and on Patent Information & Patent search in particular.Hosted the largest and the most comprehensive web-site on patent bibliogrpahic data published by more than 73 patent issuing authorties across the globe. Got trained in IPR by World Intellectual Property Organization, Geneva at Colombo and was a member of expert mission on the Modernization of Indian patent Information and visited the patent offices of United Kingdom, European Patent Office, Hague, Austrian patent Office, Patent Office, Germany and WIPO hqrs, Geneva. Provided Patent information to off-line users by conducting in-house search on the web-site and also from the web- sites hosted by other leading patent issuing authoirities such as United States Patent and Trademark Office, European Patent Office and WIPO. And to support the user from end-to-end, provided full text patent documents culled from an in- house collection of more than 6,000 CDROMs/DVDROMs. Worked as head of divisions of Integrated Purchase Section, Stores, Tender Section, Technical Support Service Section, Paid project Section. Average annual budget for Purchase of IT products and services in NIC as well as for other ministries' IT projects is more than Rs. 100 millions.From Sep. 2011 to April 2013, discharged duties as Additional Financial Advisor to DG, NIC and also Financial Advisor/Controller of Accounts in National Informatics Center Services Inc., (NICSI) a section 25 company owned by NIC. Having turnover of around Rs. 7000 million.Represented as Member of Board of Director, NICSI from 2011 to April 2013.

Got selected through an All India base open interview conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Govt. of India as Programmer (Class I grade post) in Computer Services Division in 1984 in Planning Commission, Govt. of India and worked for Perspective Planning Division and Energy Division. Job profile was to develop Modelling for 5- year and annual plan of Govt. of India as per the system designed by officers of Indian Economic Service (IES), Indian Statistics Service and also trained these officers and other administrive staff of Planing Commission on the use of personal computer during 1985-1987.
