A hands-on CEO in the broadcast media business with over 40 years of experience with a proven track record of setting up and launching 3 major Malayalam channels and driving their profitability and turning them into successful national ventures with an international presence.I specialize in every aspect of building and creating a new channel ground up including Company Incorporation to Govt of India I&B Licensing, Recruiting and building an entire team to run a channel, Selection of Satellite Bandwidth to Uplink and Downlink and selection of technology and Audio Video equipment adhering to broadcast quality standards and setting up world class studios. I have personally been instrumental in the 5 step process of Launch, Programming, Marketing, Brand building and Profitability of 3 of the leading Malayalam channels namely KAIRALI TV, JAI HIND TV and ASIANET CABLE VISION.In 1993, built India's very First Cable Superhighway in Kerala, which was a pioneering model to the rest of Indian Cable TV industry. This unprecedented concept of TV Cables through Electricity Poles revolutionized Indian Satellite & Cable TV industry. And as the Chief GM of ASIANET, I was personally responsible for the build up and marketing of ASIANET CABLE NETWORK and handled and won more than 40 High court cases challenging Asianet’s cable right of way through Electricity Poles and established the ASIANET interactive statewide cable TV network in 1995.Add to that I am responsible for the Concept, Creation, Naming and Launch of ACV or ASIANET Cable Vision, Kerala’s very first full fledged Cable Channel in 1997. Today ACV is a highly profitable state wide cable TV channel. I have also conceptualized and successfully produced and aired on TV, RANGOLI, the first inter-collegiate competition plus TV show in Indian TV history. I have also replicated that concept and success with RANGOLI GULF, the first interschool team competition plus TV show in Gulf TV history.
