Experienced Educator and Administrator with 30 Years of Service in Southern Arizona K-12 SchoolsAs an accomplished educator and administrator, I have dedicated the past 30 years to serving the community of Southern Arizona. My diverse background spans roles as a teacher, site administrator, and district-level leader, including serving as Special Education Director.My strengths lie in areas such as coaching, culture and climate building, professional development, school systems, curriculum, assessment, hiring, and supporting exceptional students. I have a proven track record of using data to drive instruction, developing strategic plans, and managing multiple budgets effectively.During my time as a site principal, I led the turnaround of a low-performing, school, elevating it from a D to a B rating. I was also the principal of a D placement (100% special education) school during the pandemic, this experience solidified my expertise in special education law, innovative policy creation, problem-solving, and collaborating with external agencies.Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in General Psychology with a focus on Organizations and Industry at Grand Canyon University. This advanced degree complements my practical experience and allows me to hone skills vital for addressing the evolving challenges in the education sector.In my role as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, I am responsible for overseeing teaching and learning initiatives.
