As Head of Data, I have placed data and automation at the forefront of Am Re processes. The Data Team has replaced the former practice of manual, repetitive reporting, and introduced modern data technologies to revolutionize the company’s operations. With a small team and short timelines, we have implemented data acquisition, ETL, storage, and analytical processes across the organization. A large part of our efforts to automate involve partnering with other departments to tailor solutions to their level of technical competency and ensure their processes are augmented to run more efficiently and scale as the company grows. Our work culminated in the design and development of the internal application teams use for their daily work and the launch of the company’s first client facing data product which allowed clients to track the performance of their portfolio in real time.Main Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver internal software for different departments and launch the company's first client-facing data product.- Lead all digital transformation initiatives.- Promote a culture of innovation through cross-collaboration and adoption of new technology.- Design systems and processes to handle scale as the company grows.

During my time at MBS Value Partners, I created and maintained financial models, monitored equities, performed fundamental analysis on current and prospective clients, and tailored corporate communications through the drafting of official documents and investor profiles. The experience at MBS Value Partners gave me the opportunity to analyze corporate challenges from different points of view and to learn directly from successful executives. My proficiency with foreign languages proved useful once again, as a portion of my workload was dedicated to clients located in Latin America. Due to my proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese I was able to analyze company filings in their native language and better assess the structure of the compensation proposals. My next experience involved the structuring of a start-up company with a team of creative minds. With BARBARUS LLC at its embryonic stage I was able to exercise many functions within the business. I was involved with the sourcing of materials for our products, inventory control, analysis of our financial condition and operations, and support to new projects. It was an experience that required self-initiative, curiosity, courage, and, most of all, creativity. Today, BARBARUS is in its third collection of products and the company has been able to sustain itself through the sales of its sophisticated and innovative wearables.
