Writing the code, code reviews, participated at / led discussions about implementation details, process improvements- Configured github actions;- Managed releases;- Solved customers issues (few times in a call);- Maintained the documentation, mentoring;- Talking with PO, qa, dev colleagues to convince them that what they was asking is not what they needed;- Worked closely with the technical writer when she was finally hired to organize, unify, update the documentation so it could be used for its intended purpose;- Talking with android, ios developers to align sdks behavior, naming.In addition as a lead:- Leading interviews with candidates for the position of web engineer;- Setting, monitoring OKRs;- Conducting team meetings, 1-1 catch ups;- Adjusting workflows;- Making a final decision on the implementation;- Creating, giving tasks to dev colleagues.Worked with:Typescript, react, react hooks, react native, eslint, mobx, ant design, storybook, graphql, git, gitlab, git actions, figma, web sockets, mqtt, jest.Other things I'd like to highlight:As a result of the dev team's initiatives a lot of things were did to clean, simplify sdk, uikit codebase, to make it more unified, simple to develop, convenient to use. Sdk, uikit became stable. Unit test coverage was greatly increased. A lot of small annoying ui bugs were fixed in uikit, it became more user friendly.

Projects:- Web app (App1) for authors / scientists to guide them through the process of publishing their articles in journals;- Web app (App2) for funders (universities, consortia) to manage publication charges;- Admin panel to manage articles, journals, authors, any issues that arise during the publishing process that need to be handled manually;- https://www.authorea.comWorked at the office in waterfall in "frontend" team under tech lead supervision first 1.5 years. Later according SAFe in scrum teams in 2 weeks sprints in PIs containing 6-8 sprints. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, worked remotely.Writting the code, code reviews, participated at / led discussions about implementation details, process improvements- Rewrote frontend for App2 from java to js + react, having only java src code and backend developer;- Unifed code styles across projects:Forced the adding eslint to projects. Convinced to use airbnb rules with minimum amount of custom rules. Created a npm package with custom eslint config in private npm to share it accross projects.- Convinced the team to try typescript, migrated projects to typescript;- Led css styles unification;- Convinced the team to standartize the usage of git: Use gitflow, prefer rebase for branches over merge, do squashing when merging PRs;- Supervised a new team from from a new department in Sri-Lanka;- Leading interviews with candidates for the position of web engineer;- Configured cloudfront, lambda few times;- There was a period when ui dev team maintained selenium tests. Later debugged, did minor updates for qa selenium tests;- Made pipelines in jenkins;- https://www.authorea.com/ was acquired by Wiley, former developers were fired. Few guys, including me, maintained it for a couple of months: bug fixes, small features. It was written in ruby on rails, so I had to learn it quickly.
